So another thread to spark some conversation, hopefully!

Whats a new feature (as in not something in your camera, though possibly in others) would you want the most? Or, if there aren't new features that you want, what feature that you have would you most like to have updated?

For me, I can't think of anything. I work on that, though.

Honestly, I do think I would really want any new features. I just believe they should keep improving current technologies and features. I don't want all cameras to become super automatic electronics that do everything by themselves minus shot composition.

    :p

That might actually be where I am at. Thinking about a comparison between the D300 and my D70 (slightly different class, so ignoring those differences) the changes seem to be mostly updates, few new features. So, I'll add this question, what feature would you want updated the most?

Large sensor for great low-light pictures in a compact camera, like the new Sigma DP1, but at a reasonable price.

I agree. If they could strip the DP1 down to something reasonable, I would buy that to carry around as a small camera when I don't have the D70.

Yup, the DP1 seems nice and all but the price is way too high, I would have been better if they could at least have added a zoom lens or something to it.

Or at least small upgradeable prime lenses like Leica does for their rangefinders.

The feature I want the most is the camera being to very automatic. This is very good for novices like me.

I want to be able to control my Canon S5 remotely.

Currently, I use the timer to take self portraits, but a remote would be so much cooler.

    Wireless remote would be best!

I like playing with the wireless remote on my D70. I have used it for real a few times, but usually, I'm just playing with it!
