windows snapshot

    Hi, I have photoshop elements 6, can I past a windows screen snapshot in photshop? I've tried to past it using edit but it doesn't give me an option to past, like you can in windows paint, I can't find anything on pasting a windows snapshop in photoshop elements

    You should be able to paste in Photoshop using the standard commands. Do a screen capture in the usual way (PrntScrn key), open a new document in Photoshop, and then press Ctrl and V simultaneously to paste.

    Thanks for that, I've been trying to past it as you do in windows paint,edit- past, I'm new to photoshop I haven't done much photo editing, I did what you suggested file- new, then I got a drop down menu one option was imag from clipboard, thanks for help

    In computer file systems, a snapshot is a copy of a set of files and directories as they were at a particular point in the past. The term was coined as an analogy to that in photography.
