    Hey all,
    I have a Kodak EasyShare Z730.
After having on charge for about a day it won't turn on now.
I suspect it was overcharged since it held a good charge before this.
My question is did I overcharge it?
& Where can I find a replacement battery?

    Thanks
    Thomas

I doubt that it's actually overcharged. Most likely, it may not have charged at all, but it's really hard to tell unless you have another battery to test with.

Probably the easiest way to find the battery is just do a Google search with the model number of the battery.

    Thanks
Its wierd that it stoped working so suddenly the easyshare logo comes up then, it turns itself off.

My guess is that the battery didn't actually charge, especially with that behavior.

The charging circuit should never let the battery overcharge (which can start a fire). It's possible your camera has a defective charging circuit or power supply. Not much you can do about that besides have it fixed. Try a new battery first.

Where do I get a new battery?

Here is a page full of batteries (personally I recommend you buy a true replacement, not an off brand). I don't know where you live, so I can't list any stores that might have a replacement.

But, thanks for the link Caleb.
EDIT: I'm thinking of this one.

In my searching for major stores (Circuit City, Best Buy, Walmart) no one has the battery available. You will have to try to order. Can you get an AC adapter to test the camera? I don't know if your camera supports this feature, but many do.
