Default Compact with Best macro

I need some help....there are some great online one-day only deals today, and I need a camera that gives great up close pics, but can be carried easily in a pocket or purse. Thanks so much!!!!
OK....pricewise up to $300, size-ultra compact,
are the Canon sd1000s good for this, or is the 750IS better?
Since a lot of my shots are indoors, would the Fujifilm F40fd be better with indoor macro shots? Do any of the non-optical viewfinder cameras have LCD viewing issues in bright sunlight?
Thanks!

The SD750 (not 750IS) just has a 3 inch screen over the SD1000's 2.5 inch screen. So, whichever you prefer.

The Finepix F40fd is better for indoor shots.

Thanks for your help! Are the LCDs difficult to see in bright sunlight for when I am taking pictures outside?

Almost forgot.....is it worth stepping up to the Fujifilm F50fd? What are the advantages?

The LCDs can be hard to see, but most of them are still visible.

The biggest benefit of the F50fd is that is has image stabilization. However, since there are more megapixels (12) on the same size sensor, the F50fd doesn't do as well in low light as the F40fd. However, the F50fd is still better than other compact cameras in low-light.
