Default What camera should I buy for Africa?

    Hello

I am going on a teen tour in south Africa and I am looking for a camera to bring. There are just so many choices I don't know where to begin! I was wondering if anyone knows of a good camera for safaris and normal outings thats pretty light and costs more or less $300. Thanks for the help!

I recommend a small camera with a CMOS sensor and a long zoom lens (for long shots). Some possibilities are the Panasonic ZS25, Canon SX260 or SX280, Nikon S6500, Nikon S9500 or S9300, Sony WX300, Samsung WB800f or WB250f.
    My Gear:
    Panasonic FZ28
    Canon Elph 110 HS
    Canon A720IS (retired)
