Default Whats the best deal, first DSLR

    Hi

I am on hole in USA from UK and with exchange camera seem a good deal.

    i have got a dealer offering :-

    1. Nikon 3200 and Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM for $750 or 457

    2. Nikon 5100 and Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM for $ 850 or 51

so these sound ok and if so whats better option, he seems keen on selling the 5100 but is that cause its older and he wants to get shot of.

    Cheers
    A

The D5100, no question. The only advantage to the D3200 is its extra resolution, 24mp vs 16mp. But the D5100 has better low light image quality, probably because its sensor is slightly larger and it has fewer megapixels. The D5100 has auto exposure bracketing, white balance bracketing and D-Lighting bracketing, while the D3200 has no bracketing options. The D5100 has a fully articulated LCD screen, the D3200 does not. The D5100 is well worth spending an additional $100.

Yes, the price looks very good. The Sigma 18-250 Macro is a fine lens which, in the US, sells for $350, so you're getting the Nikon D5100 for only $500, a great price.
