Question What Is The Best Digital Camera Under $300??

I am looking for a good digital camera to replace my Canon SX230HS I am looking for something under $300 what do yo recommend?? I want to get a Canon S120 but is a little pricey I would love being able to shoot videos at 60fps and decent low light capabilities. Here is what I am looking for in a digital camera

    Min of 10x zoom

Shot videos at 60fps I know there might not be a camera that can do this in this price range yet

Decent to good in low light

    Good Quality Images

Quite a few long zoom point and shoot cameras can shoot videos at 60fps. One of the best is the Canon SX280 HS, which is very similar to your SX230 HS. There are also cameras with long zoom and high speed video from other manufacturers that are similar to the SX280 HS such as the Sony WX300, the Nikon S9500, the Fuji F800EXR and the Panasonic ZS30. All are good cameras though the Canon is probably slightly better in low light.
    Panasonic FZ28
    Canon Elph 330 HS

Hi, I just bought a Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 from this list of cameras under 300, that I found while I was looking for a camera which isn't going to cost too much and I can take on hiking trips with me. Although my Canon 100D is one of the smallest DSRLs on the market (or at least that was I was told by the seller), it's small enough to take on such trips, but I don't feel like it would stand a hit on a rock or something like that. The Fujifilm FinePix that I got might not be more durable, but at least it costs a third of the Canon's price and I can take pictures of our group with a decent quality. If you like particular brands there were two Nikon and two Canon models on that list, that seem to be the same as the ones that Andy Stanton has mentioned, but there aren't any of models by Panasonic or Sony and I have to say that the models he mentioned are pretty sweet in terms of features as well.

I was looking for a camera for hiking and I guess that's the reason this website was convincing for me, but a little more research won't hurt either.
